Attendees Report of The 2th International Forum of Mechanical Lubrication and Equipment Health Management
It was another
summit forum after the one on centralized lubrication application and
development trend in 2015, and it fell into a main forum, and four sub-forums,
i.e., wind power, commercial vehicles, metallurgy, engineering and large
machines. The theme of the forum was “Mechanical Lubrication and Equipment
Health Management” and “Industrial Cooperation, Innovative Manufacturing, and
Global Sharing”, and “Drive for Innovation”, “Industry 4.0”, “Lubrication
Economy”, “Belt and Road”, “Centralized Lubrication”, “Made in China 2025”,
“TCO”, “Intelligent Public Transport”, “LLC Product Lifecycle Management”,
“Intelligent Wind Field”, “Internet+”, “Equipment Health Management”,
“Intelligent Port” were discussed. Participants had thorough and detailed
communications and discussions on application and development of mechanical
lubrication, new technologies of equipment health management, product lifecycle
management experience, oil and lubricate inspection and diagnosis of equipment
failure, and representatives from each field and company summarized and shared
the problems they came across during development and solutions.
Dr Wang Changxin
from Yutong Group made a report on Lubrication’s Contribution to Bus Lifecycle
Management LLC, and he mentioned that the centralized lubrication system of
AUTOL had a great advantage on saving operation costs.
Song Shiji,
professor in department of automation of Tsinghua University, emphasized on how
to conduct accurate failure analyses through data model obtained from historical
data with features of collected data. Wang Jianguo, chief engineer from
Longyuan Power Group analyzed the current status of grease lubricated bearings,
and highlighted the advantages of centralized lubrication on effective
collection of waste oil and prevention against blocking when comparing manual
and automatic lubrication. Tang Yu, from branch of Schaeffler (China)
introduced the features of lubricating grease in details, and made reasonable
suggestions on bearing lubrication.
As for
engineering machinery, Austin Adam O’Kelley, director of Machinery Lubrication
Magazine (USA), taught some knowledge on lubrication to people present, and
analyzed different cases of contaminated lubricates in details, and proposed to
improve education on talents and take grease in sample bottles for observation
and inspection so as to protect lube. Dr Ma Hongjun from Guangzhou Mechanical
Engineering Research Institute described the importance of selecting and
optimizing grease in detail.
For metallurgy,
Hu Bangxi, deputy general manager of Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Company
explained “controls over more than 10 thousand points” for intelligent
equipment maintenance management developed by his company, and the intelligent
innovation was a new idea for equipment health management.
Mr Reichmann
from BECHEM described the inspection on grease flow rate through Beziers flow
curve to effectively control the operations of grease in bearings and ensure
the effective operation of machines. Li Xianghui, senior consultant to Shell
suggested that helping customers pick the exact lube for their needs together
with technical service shall be an important measure to improve corporate
development.
An important
feature of the forum was that participants did not only discuss the related
theories, but also lube technologies and equipment health management in the
fields of commercial vehicles, wind power, engineering and large machines, and
metallurgy. The 4 sub-forums on commercial vehicles, wind power, engineering
and large machines, and metallurgy were held in parallel in the morning of 16
August. 7 leaders and experts from Zhengzhou Autol Technology, Lubrication
Research Institute of Tianjin Research Institute for Advanced Equipment of
Tsinghua University, Beijing Public Transport (Group) Co., Ltd, Michelin Group
had detailed communications on lubrication technology and equipment health
management for commercial vehicles with more than 100 guests, and thorough
discussions on “application of lifecycle management in bus business”.
In wind power sub-forum,
7 experts and corporate representatives from Shanghai Electric Engineering Co.,
Ltd and EULIKIND (Beijing) had thorough discussions on fan lubrication ideas
and technologies, fan lubrication health management with more than 110 guests
present.
In engineering
and large machine sub-forum, 5 experts and corporate representatives from
Zhengzhou Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong
University and ADDINOL Lube (China) had thorough communications and discussions
on centralized lube system and management for engineering machines, and all of
the guests present discussed hot topics on machinery engineering and large
machines.
In metallurgy
sub-forum, 8 academic experts and corporate representatives from Wuhan Iron and
Steel (Group) and Beijing Metallurgical Equipment Research Design Institute
made reports on specific topics, and had communications and discussions with
company representatives present.
Sustainable
development was listed as an important strategic target in the 13th Five-Year
Plan, and energy resource was lifted to an essential position once again. For
lubrication business which made effective application of energy as target,
future would be full of opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities, and
lube business would benefit the whole world from the point of human development
since energy was one of the major problems that hindered people from improving
all over the world. “Belt and Road” was an opportunity for China’s lube
business to go international. The forum managed to catch the opportunity of the
era, and built a great platform for innovation and development of lube
business, making development in all fields convenient, and contributed to “Made
in China 2025” and “Belt and Road”.
